About Father David:

Father lived in The Word of God ecumenical community in Ann Arbor, Michigan for four years, served in guest services, lived with the Servants of the Word, an ecumenical brotherhood, and assisted the Catholic Coordinators to begin a Catholic Fellowship in the Community which has grown into a sizable parish in Ann Arbor. In 1996 he was assigned to South Dakota to work with the Sioux Native Americans for sixteen years. Since 2013, Father has served in Texas and Florida. He is currently retired, but serving back at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. Father David hosts a podcast, Evangelizing Catholic Culture, and is the author of the book, Evangelizing Catholic Culture.

Upcoming Speaker: Peg Mengle

October 2, 2021

About Peg: Born and raised in Philadelphia, Peg attended Catholic school, along with her brother and two sisters. She worked for Bell Telephone of Pa. and attended Philadelphia Community College. Peg and her husband, Bob, were married for one year before moving to Fort Myers, Florida in 1976.
They became active members of St. Cecilia’s Catholic Community along with their three children, who attended St. Francis Xavier School and Bishop Verot High School. Peg volunteered for several years in the parish office, was hired part-time, then worked full time as a parish Administrative Assistant. She retired in 2017 but has not retired from growing and being involved in her faith. Since 2014, she has served as treasurer for the Mother of Mercy Fort Myers Chapter of Magnificat.
At a Charismatic Mass in Philadelphia, Peg encountered the love of God in the first of several miraculous healings that changed her faith and trust in Him for the rest of her life. God the Father became real to her, as she experienced his great love, healing, and mercy. Peg believes that God has done great things for her because of His desire to alleviate suffering and make us whole, but also because of her willingness to share these healings with others; to proclaim his love and healing power.
The Almighty has done great things for me and holy is His Name. Lk. 1:49

Past Speakers:

Our special speaker is Margaret Adams ~ past Coordinator for the Mother of Mercy Chapter.

  • Date: April 24th
  • Place; Holiday Inn Airport at the Gulf Coast Town Center Fort Myers, FL 33913
  • Time: Doors open at 9:30 AM

About Margaret:

Margaret was born and raised in Bermuda. She married and came to the United States, settling in California in 1957. She attended Catholic school for twelve years run by the Sisters of Charity from Canada. Her upbringing by these nuns influenced her entire life. One of these sisters inspired her to never quit and to have sticktuitiveness.

Being open to life she hung on the Scripture Matthew 5:25-31. (Paraphrased) “Do not worry about what you will eat or what you will wear. Look at the birds of the air and the lilies of the field, etc.”  Her marriage, however, did not work and after five children and three miscarriages, her marriage was dissolved. She raised her five young children with the help of God.

She attended nursing school and moved to Florida in 1972. Another Scripture that she lived by was Matthew 7:7-8, “Ask, seek, and knock,” which she constantly relied on. She worked at Lee Memorial Hospital for over twenty years.

Throughout her life, the Scripture that kept her grounded was found in Isaiah 40:31. “They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings, they shall run and not grow weary and not faint.” Margaret will share how God led her through ups and downs and gave her a happy life!
